California Cell Phone Law Speakerphone
Bluetooth Headset Advice?
Hi,
I’ve never used a bluetooth headset. But now the law in California is that drivers must use a hands free device if using a phone while driving.
I have an LG Chocolate phone from Verizon. Technically it has a speakerphone, but it’s the worst speakerphone ever. My contract with Verizon ends in 2 months at which time I may get a different phone and/or a different cell phone service altogether.
Anyway, I’ve been looking at different bluetooth headsets and they all seem similar to me. I mean, the features appear to be the same and every headset out there has positive and negative reviews. From what I can tell, the most common brands are Motorola, Jabra, Plantronics, Jawbone. And then each brand has so many different models (like Motorola has H12, H350, H500, H 700, HS 850).
What do you think is a good one? I don’t use my cell phone a lot, and I really don’t like talking on the phone while driving. Basically I need a headset just in case.

Hey Mari, They all sound the same because they pretty much are! All you need is one that will do what you need it to do: Be a bluetooth! Your phone won’t work with all of them! In the user manual it should say which brands and types work with the chocolate. If it doesnt in there, call verizon wireless and see what they say about it! Once you find out find a good cheap one on ebay or go into your store and try some out to find what you like!!
