where can i go to buy the Helio Ocean and/or the sidekick 3?
i really want the ocean. it looks amazing. but i don’t want to get their service considering i already have a cell phone service with verizon. and if i ant pucahse the ocean, i want to know were i can purchase the sidekick 3 without signing up with t-mobile’s service. i just want to purchase the phone (preferrably the ocean) itself. help?
Neither will work with Verizon. The sidekick is a GSM phone, which requires a sim card in order to work. Verizon’s phones and network are CDMA, which doesn’t use sim cards. They are two completely different technologies and are not compatible with each other.
Helio’s phones and network are MVNO and piggybacks off of Sprint’s CDMA network. Its ESN number will not be in Verizon’s database of phones, and therefore Verizon will not activate it. Verizon will only activate other Verizon phones.
Sorry, but if you want to use either one, you’ll have to switch providers.
